Introductions and Capturing my audience

Hi everyone! I am new to this blogging, and thought I would give it a try. My name is Mel, and I am a single mom of a 13 year old boy. I am a full time college student. I graduated in May with an Associates degree in Health and Human Services. I am currently back in school as a full time Psych major and will be sharing fresh ideas that I learn along the way.
I know when blogging people like to know questions and more questions and answers, so I will be completely honest to allow my readers to enjoy the information shared. I also am an avid person of organ donation.........I am coming up to my 4 year anniversary of being a double transplant recepient. Kindney and Pancreas and love to share information such as me being a juvenile diabetic from 1979 untill I received my transplant in May of 2004. May 11 to be exact when I was "un" diabetic. I beat the odds and face each day as if it were my last.
There are many issues I would like to address and blog my way through and share my thoughts with you, and so just a bit to reel you in and hopefully spark an interest for a few. I will be back and starting more blogs on things that interest people, and if anyone wants to ask questions.........I would be obliged to answering any and every one that is inspired by my story........
